NNAMDI KANU RELEASED
After meeting his bail conditions, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has been freed from Kuje prison on Friday, April 28.
Reports emanating reveal that he was driven out of the detention facility by Osita Chidoka, former aviation minister.
Justice Nyako was available to sign the necessary papers on Friday afternoon, April 28, after all the conditions given to Nnamdi Kanu for his bail was met.
Three sureties, Chairman, South East Senate caucus and former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, a Jewish High Chief Priest, Immanuu-El Shalom and a Chartered Accountant residing in Abuja, Tochukwu Uchendu, vouched to stand in and ensure the IPOB leader appears for trial when he is called upon.
Meanwhile, Kanu's release promted a high security presence at Kuje prison. A good number of well-armed security operatives from the military, prison and some on casual wears were seen around the prison facility.
