Falconet star sets world record

Nigerian U-20 female player, Courtney Dike, put Nigeria in the record books as she scored a wonderful goal against S. Korea in the 13th second of the game which is presently the fastest goal ever in the female world cup.

The match which took place in Canada recorded a 2nd goal for Nigeria in the 36th minute from Chiwendu Ihezuo and when things seemed a bit settled for Nigeria, the South Koreans pulled one back in the 72nd minute when Kim Soyi put a shot into the back of the net.

At the end of the match, The Falconets emerged victorious with a slim 2-1 win over the Koreans who undoubtedly dominated possession but were unable to draw level.

With the win, Nigeria currently tops their table with 4 points after playing a 1-1 draw with Mexico.
Nigerian will be preparing to face England on 13th August and a draw will be enough to guarantee them a spot in the quarter-finals.
