Nigerian Jet Goes Missing

According to the Nigerian Defence Headquarters, an Alpha Jet (NAF 466) of the Nigerian Air Force with two pilots on board have now been declared missing missing.
The jet took off from Yola, Adamawa State at precisely  10:45 am on the 12th of September 2014 on a mission and was to arrive back to base by 12:00 noon but never showed up. 
After all efforts to establish contact with the aircraft failed, a search and rescue team was dispatched to unveil the whereabouts of the jet. It has also been speculated that the jet may have been gunned down by members of the Islamic sect, Boko Haram. 
After the incident, the acting governor of Adamawa State,  Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri came out to sympathised with the Nigeria Airforce over their loss in a bid to rid the state of terrorists living in some of the towns. He also went further to commend the efforts of the military in their flight against terrorism and exppressed faith in thier war.
The DHQ has also assured the people that the Nigerian military will not relent until they have succeeded in taking back all the captured towns from the insurgents. The recent success of the military in recent assaults on the insurgents have also been tagged as a moral booster to the soldiers.
