On Wednesday 17th September 2014, tragedy struck as two suicide bombers were involved in the killing of at least 15 students at a government owned college in Kano, Nigeria.
According to reports from an anonymous source, Four men in a tricycle taxi (keke Napep) drove to the school and began shooting randomly before one of the men walked into a lecture hall with students in it and discharged his bomb.
The second bomber also went ahead to detonate his bomb outside the lecture hall, killing himself and injuring a few others.
Figures released by the commissioner of police for Kano State suggest that about 34 students were injured and the spokesman of NEMA (Nigerian Emergency Management Agency) , Sani Datti also added that the total number of deaths was 17 including the bombers.
All Fingers are pointing to none other than the Islamic group, Boko Haram who have sworn to cause chaos in the country.
Surprisingly before now, there hasn't been any bombings for a period of weeks but it is no longer news that the Islamic group has focused more on taking over towns in the north and even going further to declare it an Islamic caliphate.
